About Mr. Robert
Robert Bullock, known to young learners and educators as Mr. Robert, is an award-winning
author-illustrator, historical researcher, and veteran museum exhibit designer. Drawing on years of experience designing interactive educational exhibits for world-renowned institutions, including New York City’s American Museum of Natural History, Yale’s Peabody Museum, and The State Museum of Pennsylvania, he was inspired by their classic habitat dioramas to bridge the gap between art, history, and science literacy.
As the sole creator of the Wilderness Habitat Discovery Journal series, Bullock masterfully utilizes two distinct formatting tracks to captivate readers: immersive graphic narratives for cultural histories like Mr. Robert’s Hawaiʻi, and meticulous narrative nonfiction field journals for ecological surveys such as NIEA Finalists Hexi Corridor and Madagascar. Explicitly engineered for the middle-grade and supplemental home-school curriculum markets, his visually rich 7x10 volumes seamlessly integrate authentic biological science, exact Latin taxonomy, and interactive text-dependent comprehension quizzes.
A former university instructor at Liaocheng University in Shandong, China, Bullock continues to write, illustrate, and engineer screen-free, mindful learning resources that foster advanced language skills, global historical awareness, and a deep conservation mindset in young explorers.
